In 1834, U.S. Army captain Seth Lore and others developed the present-day downtown area of Eufaula, Alabama. It featured one long main street crossed by four north-south avenues, designated Livingston, Orange, Randolph, and Eufaula, the first letter of each avenue spelling Lore's last name.

Here at the Eufaula House on Barbour, our guest rooms are named in the same way, honoring Captain Lore. This is the Orange Suite, in addition we’ve the Livingston Lobby, the Randolph Suite and the Eufaula Suite, which is also known as the Bridal Suite.
